La innovación se manifiesta cuando una tecnología es adoptada masivamente, siendo esencial la participación activa del destinatario en el desarrollo tecnológico. Este proceso conocido como 'sistema interactivo de la innovación', implica establecer una comunicación efectiva entre los tomadores de decisiones en los sistemas productivos y los investigadores y/o tecnólogos regionales, asegurando así que la generación y adaptación de tecnologías se ajuste a sus necesidades. Este proyecto pretende mejorar el conocimiento sobre las empresas frutícolas en el centro-norte de la provincia de Santa Fe, considerando la limitada información oficial disponible; y avanzar en la generación de tecnologías adaptadas a nivel regional para los cultivos de cítricos, higueras, durazneros, ciruelos y especies frutales nativas. El primer eje pretende relevar y caracterizar tecnológica y socio-económicamente las empresas frutícolas situadas en el territorio, con especial énfasis en la producción de nuez pecán y vid con destino al consumo en fresco, vinos y agroturismo, higos, cítricos y frutales de carozo. El segundo eje se enfoca específicamente en los siguientes objetivos tecnológicos: i) establecer el potencial de producción de higueras bajo un sistema de conducción de alta densidad y poda intensa; ii) investigar los cambios en los mecanismos metabólicos y fisiológicos ante técnicas agronómicas que mejoran el cuajado de los frutos en diferentes variedades de cítricos; iii) evaluar el comportamiento vegetativo y reproductivo de genotipos de durazneros y ciruelos con bajos requerimientos de frío; iv) realizar análisis sensorial para el mercado en fresco de diferentes genotipos de frutas nativas; v) desarrollar tecnologías para la propagación vegetativa de frutas nativas. Innovation occurs when technology is widely adopted; this requires the active participation of users, particularly farmers, in the process of technological development. This process commonly referred to as the "interactive innovation system", which facilitates the link between decision-makers in production systems and regional researchers and/or technologists. This collaboration ensures that the generation and adaptation of technologies are closely aligned with the needs of the end-users. This project aims to improve our understanding of fruit tree production in the province of Santa Fe, where official information is limited. It also aims to make progress in the development of regionally adapted technologies for citrus, fig, peach, plum, and native fruit crops. The first objective involves the comprehensive technological and socio-economic characterisation of fruit tree enterprise, with particular emphasis on those involved in pecan and grape production for fresh consumption, wines, and agritourism; figs, citrus, and stone fruits. The technological objectives are: i) to determine the production potential of fig tree under a high-density training system and intense pruning; ii) to study the changes in metabolic and physiological mechanisms in response to agronomic techniques that improve fruit set in different citrus varieties; iii) to evaluate the vegetative and reproductive behaviour of low-chill genotypes of peach and plum; iv) to carry out sensory analysis for the fresh market of different native fruits genotypes; v) to develop technologies for the propagation of native fruits.
