However, the difficulties presented by students in a History Teaching Training programme and a Bachelor's Degree in History of the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences suggest that a more systematic approach to temporality in the history class is required. Given our experience in teaching the classes of Medieval Societies and Formation of the Modern World I, in this work we intend to describe and analyze activities, resources and materials used in teaching certain historical events and processes of medieval societies and early modernity, starting with basic notions about time and its relations with history. The main sources of this work are the different temporal graphic representations that have been prepared to teach different topics in the subjects mentioned above as well as their methodological development and students’ reception of such activities and materials. Aunque el tiempo histórico es una categoría epistemológica fundamental para explicar los procesos históricos, generalmente se suele dar por sentado que los alumnos lo comprenden por el sólo hecho de leer y estudiar textos historiográficos. Sin embargo, las dificultades que presentan los estudiantes en el Profesorado y Licenciatura en Historia de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral al momento de utilizar las categorías temporales nos confirman la necesidad de un abordaje más sistemático de la temporalidad en la clase de historia. En función de la experiencia realizada en las clases de Sociedades Medievales y Formación del Mundo Moderno I, en este trabajo nos proponemos, a partir de nociones básicas sobre el tiempo y sus relaciones con la historia, describir y analizar actividades, recursos y materiales implementados en diferentes clases sobre determinados acontecimientos y procesos históricos de las sociedades medievales y la modernidad temprana. Las fuentes principales en este trabajo son las diferentes representaciones gráficas temporales que se han elaborado para enseñar distintos temas de las asignaturas mencionadas, su desarrollo metodológico y la recepción que tuvieron las actividades y materiales por parte de los estudiantes.
