| Sumario: | This paper aims to look at education workers, paying special attention to teachers’ trade unions and their collective actions in Santa Fe province between 1973 and 1976, i.e. the period in which the Confederación de Trabajadores de la Educación de la República Argentina (a teachers’ national level organization) was formed. Some of the key questions that guided the research focus on the teachers' conflicts that emerged, their reasons, how they developed, how they were organized and which teachers' unions became relevant. This is a qualitative study based on oral testimonies and documents, particularly the press coverage. |
