Como consecuencia del proceso productivo de la producción de pollos frescos para consumo se generan distintos subproductos y desperdicios. Los subproductos son: garras, plumas, sangre y vísceras. Dentro de los desperdicios está la grasa no reutilizable que, actualmente se descarta. La búsqueda de nuevas alternativas para generar menos desperdicios al menor costo posible llevó a encontrar una solución que no solo implica aprovechar un desperdicio, sino que también permite generar valor a partir de dicho desperdicio. La solución es convertir la grasa de pollo en biodiesel. As a consequence of the productive process of the production of fresh chickens for consumption, different by-products and waste are generated. By-products are: claws, feathers, blood and offal. Within the waste is the non-reusable grease that is currently discarded from it. The search for new alternatives to generate less waste at the lowest possible cost led to finding a solution that not only involves taking advantage of waste, but also allows value to be generated from said waste.
