Sumario:The current paper is intended to share andreflect on an educational experience called Escuebichos(from Spanish terms for ‘school’ and ‘bugs’) which isaimed at considering the various constructs of time andplace at school, knowledge transfer, and the positionand importance that Natural Sciences are assigned atschool. This proposal seeks to make students play aleading role in the active construction of knowledgewhile dealing with experimentation, art, and game aspedagogical tools. Escuebichos provided the possibilityof working along with other institutions and organizationsin the neighborhood that can actively participate in theproposed activities, schools being the common place.This experience also included ‘the travelling trunk’ withthe aim of taking itinerant exhibitions to different schoolsso as to share the experience, multiply the idea, or generate new educational projects. This interdisciplinarywork was carried out within the subjects of Biology,Mathematics, Language, ICT, and a Photo and GraffitiWorkshop; and the involved students were attending thefirst and second year of secondary school.
