El estudio del perfi l cultural contribuye al monitoreo del estado del suelo en un sistema agrícola. Se diseñó una valoración cuantitativa: índice del PC agrícola (IPC). El objetivo de este trabajo fue  estudiar la relación entre IPC y otras propiedades físicas relacionadas al PC. Se estudiaron 11 lotes agrícolas y dos sin uso productivo. Las variables caracterizadas fueron IPC, califi cación visual de la calidad estructural (Cvc), resistencia a la penetración (RP), estabilidad estructural (EE), porcentaje de agregados entre 0,3 y 2 mm (Ag) y materia orgánica (MO). Se efectuó una regresión lineal múltiple, con y = IPC y variables regresoras: MO (x1), Cvc (x2), EE (x3), RP (x4) y Ag (x5). Cvc, RP y Ag presentaron relación lineal signifi cativa con IPC; no así MO y EE. Aplicando regresión múltiple para y = IPC y variables regresoras: Cvc, RP y Ag, las tres variables explicaron casi el 75 % de la variancia de IPC. Cvc es la que ejerce mayor infl uencia sobre IPC. Se concluye que la Cvc, la RP y Ag se relacionaron signifi cativamente con el IPC. The study of the cultural profi le (PC) contributes to monitoring of the state of the soil in an agricultural system. A quantitative assessment was designed: agricultural CP index (CPI). The aim of this work was to study the relationship between IPC and other physical properties related to PC. Eleven plots of agricultural land and two plots without productive use were studied. The variables characterized were CPI, visual qualifi cation of structural quality ( Cvc ), resistance to penetration (RP), structural stability (EE), percentage of aggregates between 0.3 and 2 mm (Ag) and organic matter (OM). Multiple linear regression analysis was performed, with y = IPC and regressor variables: MO (x1), Cvc (x2), EE (x3), RP (x4) and Ag (x5). Cvc, RP and Ag presented a signifi cant linear relationship with IPC; not so MO and EE. Applying multiple regression y = IPC and regressor variables: Cvc, RP and Ag, the three variables accounted for almost 75% of the variance of IPC. Cvc is the one that has the greatest infl uence on IPC. We conclude that Cvc , the RP and Ag were singnifi cantly related with the IPC.
