| Sumario: | Based on the intense transformations in the national productive structure, this paper aims to carry out a descriptive analysis of the internal differentiation process of the agrarian capitalist class in contemporary Uruguay and its link with the consolidation of a new agrarian model linked to extensive agriculture. The methodological approach of this work is based on semi-structured interviews carried out between 2018 and 2019 with entrepreneurs and managers of agricultural companies in Uruguay. The results obtained in the research allow us to conclude that the universe that makes up the agricultural business class is uneven, identifying four different business profiles. |
