We conclude the balance is positive and that this new regulation represents a new stage in the legal evolution, and an improvement in the regulation of the law of wills in Argentina. A cinco años de la vigencia del nuevo Código Civil y Comercial, y en relación al derecho hereditario, se hace un balance de sus aciertos, de sus innovaciones y del perfeccionamiento en algunos aspectos de la anterior normativa del Código derogado, como también se señalan deficiencias que deben ser corregidas por el legislador. Se concluye que el balance es positivo y que representa esta nueva regulación una nueva etapa de la evolución jurídica, y un progreso en la regula-ción del derecho hereditario argentino.
