In this paper we construct a typology to classify dairy firms and we develop a proposal to measure their anchoring. We also analyze the discourses of the interviewees regarding their behaviors. We are interested in a dairy basin (the west of Entre Ríos) where the diversity in terms of territorial anchoring can help to explain its conditions of operation. The analysis carried out allows us to argue that while certain agents rely on the expansion of markets and the development of technologies that facilitate interactions at a distance,others base their strength in proximity. This does not reject the influence of multi–scalar dynamics, butaims to show how the latterare mediated in local spaces.

El anclaje territorial de una actividad productiva y los agentes que participan de ella es un componente difícil de aprehender desde el punto de vista empírico. En este trabajo construimos una tipología para clasificar a las industrias lácteas y desarrollamos una propuesta para medir el anclaje de estas. Lo complementamos con el análisis de los discursos de los entrevistados en relación con los comportamientos adoptados. Nos interesamos por una cuenca lechera (el oeste de Entre Ríos) donde la diversidad en términos de anclaje territorial puede ayudar a explicar sus condiciones de funcionamiento. El análisis realizado nos permite plantear que, mientras ciertos agentes se apoyan en la ampliación de los mercados y el desarrollo de las tecnologías que facilitan las interacciones a la distancia, otros hacen de la proximidad su fortaleza. Lo anterior no supone negar la influencia de las dinámicas multiescalares, sino en todo caso, apunta a poner de manifiesto cómo estas son intermediadas en los espacios locales.
