It is proposed to reflect on the way in which the idea of Atlantic history, although outlined, was operationalized in the first attack of curricular organization from this perspective and provoked an effective break with the Eurocentric paradigm, so rooted in curricular organization in the Brazilian educational system. The analysis was performed by consulting the official document and texts produced by faculty associations, research groups and scholars because of the controversial public / academic debate established and specialized literature. El texto explora las discusiones en torno a la propuesta curricular del BNCC 2015 que condujo a una ruptura con el paradigma eurocéntrico en la enseñanza del contenido de historia al proponer un enfoque atlántico. Se propone reflexionar sobre la forma en que la idea de la historia atlántica, aunque aún esbozada, se puso en práctica en el primer ataque de la organización curricular desde esta perspectiva y provocó una ruptura efectiva con el paradigma eurocéntrico, tan arraigado en la organización curricular en el sistema educativo brasileño. El análisis se realizó consultando el documento oficial y los textos producidos por asociaciones de docentes, grupos de investigación y académicos debido al controvertido debate público / académico establecido y la literatura especializada.
