COSTA CARDOSO, LUCILEIDE The aim of this article is to bring back some nuanced memory aspects concerning the resentment of 1964 Brazilian military dictators, displayed in books from the 1980’s and 1990’s as a response to narratives told by leftist democratic partisans. The intention is to reflect upon a context in which Brazilian memory is object of dispute, the moment at which the victims’ narratives are no longer hegemonic or are at least weakened, and at which certain social groups express a wish for military intervention as a means to solve political and economic crisis, thus choosing new authoritarian agents as their rulers. O propósito do artigo é recuperar alguns matizes da memória ressentida de militares e golpistas de 1964, produzidas no formato de livros entre os anos oitenta e noventa do século vinte, como resposta às narrativas elaboradas pelo campo das forças democráticas de esquerda. A intenção é refletir sobre o contexto da batalha da memória no Brasil, momento em que ocorre o fim da hegemonia ou a fragilização das narrativas das vítimas e cresce o desejo de “Intervenção Militar Já”, que contamina determinados grupos sociais crentes de que a solução para a atual crise política e econômica é a escolha de novos agentes autoritários como representantes do poder.
