Sumario:On 30 July 1966, the dictatorial government of Juan Carlos Ongania announced a restructuring of the Argentine university system which implied the end of co-government and the loss of autonomy for institutions of higher education. This measure led to student demonstrations which would extend in time and space and would grow in intensity and radicalization towards the end of the decade. This paper reconstructs what happened during this period in the city of Santa Fe, home to an important Argentine public university. In keeping with its objective, this work pays special attention to discursive and action repertoires of the student movement from Santa Fe, to the configuration and reconfiguration of networks and social spaces in which it participated and to the nature and dynamics of the conflicts it was involved it.
