We focus on the activism and the organizations of the students at the Universidad de Buenos Aires during the early years of the so–called «Proceso de Reorganización Nacional» (Process of National Reorganization), a dictatorship that lasted between 1976 and 1983. In addition, we describe the positions adopted of by different student and political organizations in response to the policies introduced by the Armed Forces on university matters. Este artículo se propone colaborar en completar el conocimiento sobre la historia reciente del movimiento estudiantil y de las universidades argentinas, específicamente a partir del golpe de estado del 24 de marzo de 1976 y durante los primeros años de la dictadura autodenominada como “Proceso de Reorganización Nacional”. Analizamos el caso de la Universidad de Buenos Aires atendiendo a la heterogeneidad de las prácticas y estrategias de intervención desarrolladas las y los militantes de diversas agrupaciones estudiantiles, en el marco de comisiones, centros y federaciones estudiantiles. Asimismo, reconstruimos los posicionamientos de las diferentes organizaciones políticas acerca de la intervención y la política universitaria de la dictadura.
