Our work has been improved by the development of health/disease studies along with an incipient process of including social sciences in the training of health professionals. El trabajo tiene como objetivo describir y reflexionar sobre la importancia de las Ciencias Sociales en el campo de las ciencias médicas, tomando como experiencia nuestra labor en la materia Historia Argentina y Latinoamericana de las Ciencias de la Salud en la Universidad Nacional de La Matanza y, específicamente, en la carrera de grado de la Licenciatura en Nutrición. Nuestra labor se ve potentada por el desarrollo de los estudios sobre salud/enfermedad y en consonancia con un incipiente proceso en el cual, los parámetros de las ciencias sociales han permeado de manera incipiente la formación de los futuros profesionales de la salud.
