It is written from the lack of comfort brought about by the word war disseminated throughout the whole surface of a corpus of narratives about Tucumán. A corpus composed both by interviews and edited testimonies. This paper does not propose a key to come across the reasons for repression but proposes the will to identify a matrix present in the “stories” about the war in Tucumán in which each element echoes disseminated in multiple and opposed records. The reading of testimonies, in terms of a machine of war, is to set the foundation of the reading on the exercise of difference, accepting the challenge of reading in a zone that is silenced due to its complexity. In terms of justice or ethics, statements are binary: innocent or guilty. Acknowledging this postulation and without accepting the comfort of relativism, the work proposes to assume the risk of an immanentist reading of testimonies and books of this gender, identifying the content of the figures regardless of the form of the content. El presente ensayo postula la necesidad de pensar una máquina de lectura que no suponga silenciar la idea de guerra en el género testimonial. Se escribe desde la incomodidad de la palabra guerra distribuida en toda la superficie de un corpus de relatos sobre Tucumán compuesto por entrevistas y testimonios editados. No propone una clave para descifrar las razones de la represión; se refiere a la voluntad de identificar una matriz presente en los —cuentos— sobre la guerra en Tucumán en los que cada elemento resuena, diseminado, en registros múltiples y sus opuestos. Leer el testimonio en términos de una máquina de guerra es fundar la lectura del género en el ejercicio de la diferencia, es aceptar el desafío de leer una zona silenciada por su complejidad, las modulaciones más oscuras del espesor de la producción testimonial. En términos de justicia o de ética, los enunciados son binarios: inocentes o culpables. Sin desconocer esta postulación y sin aceptar las comodidades de un relativismo el trabajo propone tomar los riesgos de una lectura inmanentista de los testimonios y los libros del género, identificando el contenido de las figuras más allá de las formas del contenido.
