| Sumario: | Vendetta (1892) was the first opera written by San Juan composer Arturo Berutti (1858-1938). This work presents an approach to the historical-cultural and aesthetic context of production, circulation and reception of opera through the analysis of hemerographic information. It also makes a description of the musical features of the last two scenes to achieve an approximation to the musical language used by Berutti in relation to the predominant trends in Italy at the end of the 19th century. In this way, it is intended to contribute to the knowledge and appreciation of fundamental musical works of Argentine music. |
