The study argues that the aesthetic-technical oppositions that can be inferred from them (e.g., linearity-nonlinearity, dialectical form-spatialized form) do nota have a direct correlate in the work in which the organic conception of pitch and rhythmic discontinuities are integrated, at different levels of the structure. En este trabajo se analiza estructuralmente la obra Recóndita armonía (1987) de Mariano Etkin (1943-2016) y el marco estético que la circundó a partir de los escritos del compositor de la misma época. En el estudio se sostiene que las oposiciones estético-técnicas que se pueden colegir de ellos (por ejemplo: linealidad-no linealidad, ser-estar, forma dialéctica-forma espacializada) no tienen un correlato directo en la obra, en la que, por el contrario, la continuidad orgánica de las alturas y las discontinuidades rítmicas están integradas en distintos niveles de la estructura.
