The objective of this research is to identify the forms of growth during 2020, compare them with previous years and detect if there are changes that are related to the context of pandemic. Through the analysis of satellite images we investigate the transformations in the agglomerate, we observe the areas that developed, the new expansions and the consolidations produced. In parallel, the promotions offered during the course of the year are researched in media, which, in turn, are verified in interviews with real estate developers. This allows us to conclude that the disruptive changes imposed by the health crisis, on the one hand, pose limitations and condition the actions of the population, and on the other, creates the strategic conditions to promote "informal" urban actions, both from the aptitude of their suitability as urban land and from the point of view of the administrative legal framework.  Después de un año de la primera disposición nacional de aislamiento social, se reflexiona sobre el impacto de la misma en la evolución operada en el aglomerado del Gran San Salvador de Jujuy. El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar las formas de crecimiento durante el 2020, compararlas con los años anteriores y detectar si existen cambios que se relacionan con el contexto de pandemia. A través del análisis de imágenes satelitales se indaga en las transformaciones urbanas, se observan las áreas que se desarrollaron, las nuevas expansiones y consolidaciones producidas. En paralelo, se investiga en medios de comunicación las promociones ofertadas en el transcurso del año que, a su vez, se verifican en entrevistas a promotores inmobiliarios. Esto permite concluir que los cambios disruptivos impuestos por la crisis sanitaria, por una parte, plantea limitaciones y condiciona el accionar de la población, y por otra, crea las condiciones estratégicas para promover actuaciones urbanas “informales”, tanto desde su aptitud de suelo urbano como desde el punto de vista del marco jurídico administrativo en el que se originaron.
