El síndrome de burnout o de desgaste profesional se describió hace varios años en distintas profesiones; sin embargo, se ha observado que tiene mayores repercusiones en las distintas especialidades del área médica. Objetivos: -General: Determinar la prevalencia del síndrome de burnout en médicos del Hospital Regional de Reconquista -Específicos: 1.Comparar la prevalencia del síndrome de burnout entre los médicos residentes y los no residentes 2.Caracterizar a los médicos con diagnóstico de síndrome de burnout según edad y sexo 3.Describir el perfil laboral del médico diagnosticado con el síndrome 4.Determinar cuál de las 3 dimensiones del síndrome es la más prevalente Resultados: Del total de médicos (residentes y no residentes), 13 (12,8%) de ellos fueron diagnosticados con el síndrome y 58 (57,4%) presentaron indicios del mismo, mientras que 30 (29,7 %) de ellos no presentaron el síndrome, ni tampoco tenían indicios del mismo. La dimensión del síndrome más prevalente fue la falta de realización personal, la cual se presentó en 48 de los médicos (47,5%) Conclusión: La prevalencia del síndrome de burnout en los médicos del hospital fue del 12,8%, mientras que el 57,4% de los mismos presento indicios de dicho síndrome, esta situación debe destacarse ya que, para presentar indicios de este, debe estar alterada por lo menos una dimensión del síndrome. Goals: -General: Determine the prevalence of burnout syndrome in doctors at the Reconquista Regional Hospital -Specific: 1. Compare the prevalence of burnout syndrome between resident and non-resident physicians 2. Characterize doctors with a diagnosis of burnout syndrome according to age and sex 3. Describe the work profile of the doctor diagnosed with the syndrome 4. Determine which of the 3 dimensions of the syndrome is the most prevalent Results: Of the total number of doctors (residents and non-residents), 13 (12.8%) of them were diagnosed with the syndrome and 58 (57.4%) presented signs of it, while 30 (29.7%) of them did not. They did not present the syndrome, nor did they have any signs of it. The most prevalent dimension of the syndrome was lack of personal fulfillment, which occurred in 48 of the doctors (47.5%). Conclusion: The prevalence of burnout syndrome in hospital doctors was 12.8%, while 57.4% of them presented signs of said syndrome.
