El acceso al hábitat digno y la vivienda inclusiva, asequible y adecuada es la clave para la transformación sostenible de nuestras ciudades y comunidades, en tanto la ampliación de las oportunidades de acceso contribuirá al logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), especialmente a la meta 11.1. Además, en el campo específico del diseño y la construcción del hábitat, contribuirá en la adopción de medidas urgentes para combatir el cambio climático y sus efectos (ODS 13); la construcción de infraestructuras resilientes, la promoción de la industrialización sostenible e inclusiva y el fomento a la innovación (ODS 9). Asimismo, operar en los modos de gestión y producción de la vivienda resulta una acción tendiente a la mitigación de la pobreza (ODS 1), la promoción del desarrollo económico y el bienestar humano (ODS 9.1). En el caso de esta investigación, la aplicación de estrategias y criterios de arquitectura circular a una propuesta donde convergen el tratamiento de residuos urbanos y la producción de vivienda y hábitat, cobra importancia al momento de tomar racionalmente decisiones en la selección de tecnologías y técnicas para dar respuestas adecuadas. Access to decent habitat and inclusive, affordable and adequate housing is the key to the sustainable transformation of our cities and communities, while the expansion of access opportunities will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially to goal 11.1. In addition, in the specific field of habitat design and construction, it will contribute to the adoption of urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects (SDG 13); the construction of resilient infrastructures, the promotion of sustainable and inclusive industrialization and the promotion of innovation (SDG 9). Likewise, operating in the modes of management and production of housing is an action aimed at alleviating poverty (SDG 1), promoting economic development and human well-being (SDG 9.1).
